Job summary

AMG Tech Support is seeking hands-on I.T. or Telecom technicians to support a growing national client base. This role goes beyond desk tasks, involving OS installs, structured cabling, and telecom work across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate thrives in the field, enjoys variety, and is comfortable being on-call within their territory. This is a 1099 contractor position with travel pay and on-site duties.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of IT/Telecom experience required.
• A+ or Network+ certification or 5+ years field experience in IT/Telecom.

Responsibilities

• OS installations, hardware diagnostics, and software setup.
• Structured cabling (drilling, running, and dressing cables).
• Telecom work (punch-downs, demarc extensions).
• Work independently across environments: retail, medical, restaurant, corporate.
• Maintain professionalism with clients and be on-call 24/7 within territory.
