Job summary

AMG Tech Support is seeking hands-on IT/Telecom technicians to support our national client base. This role involves field installations, cabling, and on-site troubleshooting across diverse environments such as retail, medical, restaurants, and corporate facilities.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in IT/Telecom, own a vehicle, and are comfortable working on-call. Compensation is hourly on-site for 1099 contractor work, with travel pay and opportunities to expand skills.

Qualifications

• PC and printer troubleshooting experience (a strong plus)
• At least 1 year of I.T. or Telecom experience, and one of: A+ Certification; Network+ Certification; OR 5+ years verifiable field experience in I.T./Telecom

Responsibilities

• OS installations, hardware diagnostics, and software setup
• Structured cabling (including drilling, running, and dressing cables)
• Telecom work (punch-downs, demarc extensions, etc.)
• Work independently across environments: retail, medical, restaurant, and corporate
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism with clients
• Be on call and ready to respond to service requests within your territory
