Job summary

Encore Technolgies is seeking an IT Field Services Technician to provide on-site support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for clients in Cincinnati and surrounding areas. You will diagnose hardware, software, and network issues, install and configure systems, and ensure reliable infrastructure operation.

You will communicate clearly with end users, document service activities, manage peripherals and accounts, support data backup and recovery, and help enforce security policies.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client locations to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Explain technical issues and solutions in non-technical language and provide progress updates.
• Install, configure, and set up computer systems, servers, and software at client sites.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs of hardware and networking equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve OS, software, driver, and kernel issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Identify and resolve connectivity problems (routers, switches, cabling, wireless).
• Assist with user account creation, passwords, and access controls.
• Implement data backup solutions and assist with data recovery.
