Job summary

Bellwether Technology Corporation seeks a proactive Technical Support Specialist to join our New Orleans area team. You will provide onsite client support and assist with field deployments to directly impact client operations.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of IT help desk experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Travel to client sites within the region is required, with some lifting of IT equipment and a focus on

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of IT help desk or technical support experience (internships or volunteer experience accepted).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites within the region.
• Ability to lift and transport IT equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Completion of some college coursework in IT or computer science (degree preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for incidents and requests involving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot desktop/laptop setups, peripheral maintenance, printer configurations, and software problems.
• Manage deployments for enterprise workstations and tablets.
• Create and track service tickets, escalating as needed.
• Collaborate with users to clarify issues and set expectations.
• Report client or quality concerns to management for continuous improvement.
• Perform Active Directory user management and collaborate with teammates.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
