Job summary

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is seeking an entry-level IT support specialist to ensure effective use of computer systems, software, and hardware across the organization.

You will provide tier 1 and 2 support for desktop hardware and applications, install and configure equipment, help end users, and collaborate with network teams. Travel to remote locations may be required; standard hours apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field is required.
• Four years of concurrent paid work experience in a help desk or technical support role.
• Valid CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+ certification preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support for desktop hardware and application issues.
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, mobile devices, scanners, printers, and surveillance equipment.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot user endpoints and related hardware and software.
• Assist in documenting support materials and provide basic end-user training.
• Perform basic network administration tasks and work with network admins for smooth operation.
• Travel to remote locations to deliver, install, retrieve, or troubleshoot equipment.
