Job summary

Nooks is seeking an IT Support Specialist to be the frontline resource for day-to-day technical support and to stand up IT during site buildouts. You will deploy workstations, rack servers, install peripherals, and ensure systems are operational as new sites come online.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or system administration (DoD or cleared-environment exposure preferred).
• A DoD 8140.03/8570.01 IAT baseline certification — Level I (e.g., CompTIA A+ or Network+) at hire; Level II within six months.

Responsibilities

• Stand up IT for new sites — deploy workstations, rack servers, install peripherals.
• Provide Tier I–II support across classified/unclassified systems and document handoffs.
• Perform account creation, permission updates, and basic patching under supervision.
• Maintain records of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and configurations, ensuring DoD compliance.
