Job summary

Nooks is a defense-focused CIaaS provider building secure facilities for the national security community. As IT Support Specialist, you will deploy workstations, cable sites, and set up systems to get new facilities operational.

You report to the site IT & Cybersecurity Manager, perform hands-on buildouts, and collaborate with senior IT staff to resolve issues. This role requires ~25% travel and adherence to DoD security standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of IT support, helpdesk, or system administration experience in a cleared environment preferred.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level I baseline certification required; Level II within six months of hire.
• Foundational knowledge of Windows and Linux, networking concepts, and general IT troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Site Buildout: stand up IT for new sites, deploy workstations, cabling, and peripherals.
• End-User Support: Tier I/II support for classified and unclassified systems, troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• System Administration Foundations: account creation, patching, onboarding/offboarding.
• Documentation & Compliance: maintain records and ensure DoD security policy alignment.
