Job summary

Technology Lab in Nashville, TN is seeking a Tier I Field Project Technician. The role supports clients remotely and on-site, focusing on network hardware, servers, and IT project tasks.

Collaboration with Tier 2-3 staff and Project Manager will shape scoping, task estimation, and timelines for large IT projects. Ideal candidates have a strong networking background, A+/Network+ or CCNA is a plus, and willingness to travel to client sites up to 4-5 days.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years of technical support with networking focus.
• Strong understanding of routers, switches, firewalls and access points.
• Experience with server installations and network migrations.
• Proven ability to scope projects and estimate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely updates to clients and internal team on project status.
• Troubleshoot Windows, Mac, server, Exchange, Active Directory, VPN and LAN issues.
• Explain complex concepts in layman terms to customers.
• Support rollout of large projects including hardware deployments and Wi-Fi planning.
• Utilize monitoring tools to maintain client systems and networks.
• Ensure data security and regulatory compliance during projects.
• Assess performance, propose upgrades, and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with Sales, Management and Tech staff on project planning.
