Job summary

Forgen is seeking an IT Field Engineer to own deployments, hardware support, and site technology operations across project sites and offices in West Palm Beach, FL. You’ll travel to active sites up to 50% and act as the on-the-ground technology lead for mobilizations and ISP coordination.

You will partner with IT Infrastructure and Service Desk teams, support Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365, and AD/Entra, and mentor field staff on best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
• 3-5 years of IT support experience (phone, in-person, and remote)
• 2+ years of network infrastructure support experience

Responsibilities

• Field & Site Support: Travel to active project sites to provide IT support and represent the IT team on the ground
• Serve as the primary escalation point for the IT Service Desk on complex field issues
• Lead jobsite technology coordination from mobilization through demobilization, including setup and teardown
• Meet with project executives and site staff to assess IT needs
• Assist with IT setup for new offices and project locations, including conference room tech
• Coordinate with local vendors for on-site technology services
• Serve as a senior IT generalist across field and office environments
• Network & Connectivity: Configure and deploy secure networks and wireless LAN
• Order and coordinate ISP/telecom services; manage contracts and billing
• Set up and configure Wi-Fi, Starlink, cellular hotspots
• Troubleshoot network issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Maintain network deployment standards and procedures
• Hardware & Device Management: Image and deploy devices; support printers
• Systems & Software Support: Support Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365, AD/Azure AD
• Escalation, Training & Communication: Level 3 escalation for Service Desk; document resolutions
• Maintain documentation and share knowledge with teams
