Job summary

SmartSource, an ABCOM Technology Group company, seeks a Field Service Technician to deliver top-notch customer service in corporate meetings and tradeshows. You will config, test, transport equipment, and provide on-site installation and troubleshooting of computer technology and networking.

Primary duties include in-shop configuration and testing, plus transport for on-site setup of computers, printers and AV peripherals. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

Strong IT background with configuring computers, printers and copiers.
Proficient in configuring, networking and troubleshooting computers and related hardware.
Can-do attitude with strong customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles to venues.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work independently with deadlines.
Willingness to overtime, weekends and overnight travel.

Responsibilities

In-shop configuration, preparation and testing, transport for on-site installation, customer service and troubleshooting of computers, software and peripherals at events.
Secondary: configure and test AV equipment (microphones, speakers, projectors, displays) for tradeshow and corporate events.
