Job summary

SmartSource in Glendale Heights, IL is seeking an IT/AV Field Service Technician to deliver top-tier customer service at corporate meetings and trade shows, including configuration, testing, and on-site installation of computer technology and AV gear. You will configure, network, and troubleshoot computers, printers, and related hardware, transport equipment, and support staff during live events.

The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to drive a 16’ box truck, lifting up to 50

Qualifications

A strong IT background including computer, printer and copier configuration.
Proficient in configuring, networking and troubleshooting computers, printers and related hardware.
Can-do attitude with strong customer service focus and communication skills.
Ability to think and work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles to venues.
Ability to drive a 16’ box truck.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Full-time Monday–Friday with overtime, weekends and overnight travel as required.
Bonus skills include setup of basic audio visual components and live events experience.

Responsibilities

Primary: In-shop configuration, preparation, testing, and transport for on-site installation.
Secondary: Operation of Audio/Video equipment and related peripherals for events.
Provide customer service and troubleshooting for computers, software and hardware at corporate events.
