Job summary

DataSource Technology is seeking an IT Desktop/TV Installation Technician to support large-scale technology deployments in new construction environments. This hands-on role involves deploying, installing, and configuring computers, monitors, printers, TVs, ergonomic carts, and wall-mounted devices.

You will work under a Site Lead or project managers, gaining skills and certifications for advancement. The role is remote with 100% travel to project sites across the US, requiring a valid driver's

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or associate degree a plus but not required.
• 1–2 years in technology, AV installation, low-voltage cabling, or construction/facilities work.
• Familiarity with basic computer hardware, network connections, and peripheral setup.
• Ability to read floor plans and installation diagrams; basic hand/power tools proficiency.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work safely in construction environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Device Deployment & Installation: Install, configure, wire manage and verify operation of computers, monitors, printers, TVs, carts, and related devices.
• Site Preparation & Coordination: Stage and inventory equipment; coordinate with cabling teams and electricians; follow plans to place devices.
• Testing & Documentation: Power on and test equipment; record serial numbers and locations; report issues to lead engineer.
• General Labor & Field Work: Use hand/power tools safely; work on construction sites; maintain cleanliness and safety.
