Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Field Planning Manager to drive field inventory availability and readiness for installation and service teams. You will partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Demand Planning to balance LOS, inventory turns, and logistics costs, ensuring technicians have the tools and support needed to serve customers.

Your role emphasizes continuous improvement, cross-functional leadership, and bringing actionable insights to leadership through reporting and reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, field operations, logistics, or related functions.
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams or programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven actions.
• Experience working cross-functionally with operational and business partners.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with inventory systems, reporting tools, and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize field inventory availability to meet LOS targets.
• Develop strategies to optimize field inventory levels, turns, and minimize excess/inactive stock.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Demand Planning on replenishment and forecasting.
• Lead field inventory reporting, metrics, and performance reviews.
• Support field deployment, NPI pilots, and cross-functional field initiatives.
