Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS project. This part-time role involves in-person interviews with adults, occasional travel to training and households, and data collection across two annual rounds (Jan–Jul and Jul–Dec).

Training in January 2027 is mandatory, with potential overnight travel and flexible evening/weekend hours. Data collection occurs from January 2027 to December 2030, with voluntary breaks between rounds.

Qualifications

• In-person interviewing experience preferred.
• Experience with computer-assisted interviewing is a plus.
• Public interaction and communication skills required.
• Ability to work in diverse locations and with varied populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person interviews with adults in sampled households.
• Schedule and conduct interviews, ensuring data is collected and signed documents are obtained.
• Transmit collected data daily and complete required administrative paperwork.
