Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS study, conducting in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults in households across the United States.

Training starts in January 2027, with mandatory in-person and online sessions and potential travel to local and long-distance households. The role is part-time, data collection runs through 2030, and involves evening/weekend hours with some days off between rounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements to protect project information.
• Must complete mandatory web-based home study training between January 4 and January 15, 2027.
• Must travel to in-person training from January 19 to January 25, 2027.
• Must complete post-training home study between January 26 and January 31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete the interview, and collect signed documents (electronic or hard-copy).
• Transmit electronic data daily on workdays and complete administrative paperwork.
• Comply with data security and confidentiality requirements.
• Report to field supervisor on progress and outcomes.
