Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking motivated Field Interviewers for the MEPS project, conducting in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults in households across the United States. Training is required in January 2027, with two data collection periods and some overnight travel possible.

The role is part-time and runs through 2030, with evenings/weekends commonly available to fit household schedules. Interviewers report to a field supervisor, complete paperwork, and transmit data daily.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to enter binding confidentiality agreements.
• Available for mandatory web-based training between January 4 and January 15, 2027.
• Available for mandatory in-person training January 19–25, 2027.
• Post-training home study between January 26–31, 2027.
• Reside in designated areas and travel locally with occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households, set appointments, and complete interviews.
• Transmit data daily and submit administrative paperwork.
• Adhere to data security and confidentiality requirements.
