Job summary

Westat, Inc. seeks Field Interviewers for the MEPS study. The role involves in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults, traveling for training and field work, and handling signed documents.

Part-time, with two data collection periods annually, and with mandatory training windows in January 2027. Respondents are contacted in households nationwide; data is transmitted daily. The position requires flexibility, reliability, and adherence to data security and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to enter confidentiality agreements.
• Availability for mandatory trainings and travel on specified dates.
• Be able to travel for in-person and potential overnight stays.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk stairs, and carry equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households to introduce the study, set appointments, and collect signed documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily and complete administrative paperwork as required.
• Travel to in-person training and possibly to local and long-distance households.
• Ensure compliance with data security and confidentiality requirements.
