Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS study. You will conduct in-person and video interviews with adults, coordinate visits, and manage documentation. Training begins January 2027, with travel to local and occasional long-distance households as needed.

The role is part-time with two data collection periods each year, offering flexible hours including evenings and weekends depending on caseloads and sample size.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Available for mandatory web-based training Jan 4–15, 2027.
• Available for mandatory in-person training Jan 19–25, 2027.
• Willing to complete post-training home study Jan 26–31, 2027.
• Live and travel within designated areas for household contact.
• Able to work minimum 20 hours per week, including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households.
• Initiate contact and gain cooperation from households in-person or by phone.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect signed documents.
• Transmit data daily when working in the field.
• Travel to MEPS in-person training in January 2027.
