Job summary

Westat, Inc. in Akron, OH is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS study to conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households.

This is a part-time, year-round position with two data collection periods and varying hours, including evenings and weekends. Training in January 2027 is mandatory and may require travel; overtime and benefits considerations apply after eligibility is met.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to enter confidentiality agreements.
• Complete mandatory web-based home study training between Jan 4 and Jan 15, 2027.
• Travel to mandatory in-person training starting Jan 19-25, 2027.
• Complete post-training home study between Jan 26-31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, administer interviews, and collect data.
• Transmit electronic data daily when work is performed.
• Follow Westat data security and confidentiality requirements.
