Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS). This part-time position involves in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households across the United States, with mandatory training in January 2027 and travel including possible overnight stays.

Data collection runs through 2030 with two yearly data periods and daily data transmission. Requirements include being 18+, ability to train online, travel to in-person sessions, and a minimum of 20

Qualifications

• Be available to complete mandatory web-based training and in-person training within specified dates.
• Be available to travel to and attend mandatory in-person training (travel may include overnight).
• Be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week when work is available, mostly evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households in-person or by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation; set appointments and complete interviews.
• Transmit electronic data daily when work occurs and complete administrative paperwork as required.
