Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time Field Interviewers for the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) in Cherry Hill, NJ. You will recruit households, conduct interviews, and emphasize participation while working a flexible evening/weekend schedule.

The role requires travel, handling of confidential data, and use of RTI equipment. Training spans virtual and on-site sessions, with the opportunity for a long-term field career in public health research.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Effective communication skills through speech and listening.
• Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking.
• Available for entire training and data collection period.
• Able to successfully complete training.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and reliable personal automobile for business use.
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop and other equipment.
• Access to password-protected Wi‑Fi for data transmissions and admin tasks.
• Able to keep project information confidential.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and after dark.

Responsibilities

• Travel frequently to recruit study participants and make in-person contact.
• Administer computer-assisted interviews and collect confidential information.
• Transmit data as scheduled and complete Time & Expense reports.
• Attend virtual meetings and field supervisor check-ins.
• Maintain project equipment and safeguard incentives.
