Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time Field Interviewers to support the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). You will travel to selected locations, conduct in-person interviews, and engage respondents to gather information on health-related topics.

The position offers a competitive hourly pay with a health stipend and flexible evening/weekend hours. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, communicative, and able to work independently in a field environment, with a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal automobile available for business use.
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop and other associated equipment.
• Access to password-protected Wi‑Fi connection for data transmissions and administrative responsibilities.
• Able to keep project information confidential.
• Willingness to work in various types of weather conditions and after dark.
• Available for a variable work schedule as dictated by the quarterly schedule, size, and location of assignments.

Responsibilities

• Traveling frequently to selected locations to recruit study participants.
• Making in-person contact with selected respondents to discuss the study, answer questions, and obtain participation.
• Approaching selected households without a prior appointment.
• Transmitting data as scheduled.
• Assuming full and legal responsibility for use and care of project-issued equipment.
• Safeguarding any participant incentives, issued equipment, or project materials against damage, loss, or theft.
• Submitting timely and accurate Time & Expense reports.
• Attending scheduled virtual meetings with other members of the project team and weekly scheduled meetings with the field supervisor.
• Participating in field observations conducted by a member of client or RTI staff.
