Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time Field Interviewers to support the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). You will contact households, conduct interviews, and explain the study’s importance to participants.

This role requires self-motivation, strong communication, and the ability to work on a variable evening/weekend schedule. The position involves travel, data collection, and use of company devices.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Effective communication through speech and listening.
• Fluency in English in reading, writing and speaking.
• Available for training and data collection period.
• Must have valid US driver's license and own vehicle for business use.
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop and Wi‑Fi.
• Ability to keep project information confidential.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and after dark.

Responsibilities

• Travel frequently to selected locations to recruit study participants.
• Make in-person contact with respondents and discuss the study.
• Administer computer‑assisted interviews and collect confidential data.
• Transmit data as scheduled and complete Time & Expense reports.
• Maintain equipment, handle incentives, and safeguard materials.
• Attend scheduled meetings and complete required trainings.
