Job summary

unWired Broadband in the Central Valley region seeks a Field Installation Technician to install and configure customer subscribing equipment for internet service. You will install cables and wiring per work orders, ensuring fire-code compliance and testing cabling with required equipment.

The role requires strong communication skills, construction-env experience is ideal, and a focus on safety, accuracy, and timely job completion. DMV clear record and ability to drive commercially are expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of teleprocessing security and networks; and knowledge of PC environments.
• Advanced communication skills, oral and written, with the public.
• Experience in a construction-type environment is ideal.
• Strong problem solving and information analysis abilities.
• Clear reading/writing communication; ability to handle group settings.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure customer subscribing equipment for internet service.
• Install cables and wiring per work orders.
• Ensure cables/wiring comply with fire codes.
• Test and repair cabling with required equipment.
• Maintain accurate records for completed jobs.
• Respond to customer inquiries per company guidelines.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain and service trucks and vehicles; keep mileage logs.
• Schedule and deliver vehicles for maintenance.
• Maintain tools in a clean and orderly manner.
• Complete service work orders daily.
