Job summary

Viaero Wireless is seeking an Internet/Data Installation Technician to install and support home internet and home phone services within your region. You will blend strong customer service with technical skills as part of a dynamic professional team.

Responsibilities include setting up services on customer sites, verifying connections, installing antennas and cabling, and coordinating with schedulers to respond to issues promptly.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old with HS diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Able to work outside in various weather conditions.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Windows-based systems and PCs, including networking setup and testing.
• Understanding of electronic cabling and connections.
• Experience with construction and hand tools.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to climb rooftops and work safely from rooftops and ladders.
• Willing to travel to locations requiring overnight stays.
• Flexible to work weekends and varied shifts, including on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup of Internet and/or phone services at customer premises.
• Verify residential customer’s internet connection.
• Install external antennas and cabling as needed.
• Troubleshoot internet service issues.
• Coordinate with schedulers regarding trouble tickets and appointments.
• Maintain supplies on service truck for efficient task completion.
• Update and program data devices as required.
• Other duties as required.
