Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, calibration, and installation of instrumentation and control systems at customer sites. You will calibrate sensors, commission instruments, and perform electrical tasks as needed, while documenting all service activities and logs.

The role requires travel to various customer sites with a safety-first mindset. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience with Process/Control equipment, strong PLC/drive

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; associates/technical degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing Process/Control equipment including instrumentation, valves, actuators, pumps, etc.
• Strong computer proficiency with electronic and microcomputer instruments used to measure and control pressure, flow, temperature, and level.
• Electrical/electrician experience and tubing, tray, and instrument stand installation experience.
• Industrial safety training and PLC programming/troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
• Calibrate instrumentation including pressure, temperature, and flow; commission instrumentation and calibrate measuring devices.
• Install and calibrate measuring and positioning devices; perform minor electrical maintenance.
• Complete all documentation for actions taken and maintain logs of service calls, parts, and orders.
• Represent the company during field service tasks with a can-do attitude; identify and report safety issues and opportunities for upgrades.
