Job summary

Vavco, LLC is seeking an experienced Instrument and Control technician to support client needs by programming, installing, and troubleshooting I&C components on natural gas and oil facilities. Travel to customer facilities is required, with a focus on safe field operations.

The role covers installation, testing, and calibration of instrumentation, configuration of transmitters, analyzers, and control valves, and participation in startup and commissioning activities for industrial facilities.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience with industrial instrumentation and control systems.
Associate degree in Instrumentation Technology, Electrical Technology, Automation Technology, or related field preferred.
Experience with natural gas, midstream, oil & gas, power generation, water treatment, or industrial processing facilities.
Familiarity with pressure, temperature, level, flow, and analytical instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Install, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain process instrumentation and controls systems.
Program, configure, and commission instrumentation devices including transmitters and flow meters.
Assist with startup, commissioning, and operational testing of industrial process facilities.
Perform loop checks, instrument verification, and functional testing of control systems.
Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and control narratives.
