Topographic, Inc. is seeking an Instrument Technician to work in the field as part of a two or three-person crew at assigned sites. You will read plans, locate monuments, and perform calculations to support surveys in various environments. Travel to worksites and adherence to safety policies are required.

The role emphasizes accurate data collection, tool operation, and collaboration with managers and clients to meet project objectives.

Formación

• Experience in controlling the function of surveying instruments and calculators.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of potential measurement errors and how to mitigate them.

Responsabilidades

• Cut and remove brush to improve line-of-sight for surveys.
• Perform mathematical calculations and field checking of data.
• Read and understand plans and specifications.
• Dig to locate survey monuments using hand tools.
• Set elevations and distances with rods and stakes on construction sites.
• Operate and demonstrate safe use of survey tools and equipment.
