Artheon in New York, NY, is seeking a motivated Instrument Technician to support field survey operations across transportation, infrastructure, and land development projects. You will assist the Survey Crew Chief with measurements, set up and maintain instruments, and collect accurate field data.

The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, is detail-oriented, and eager to grow in surveying and geomatics while complying with safety requirements and project procedures.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of surveying or related field preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate surveying instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read basic construction plans and survey drawings.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Survey Crew Chief with daily field surveying operations.
• Set up, operate, and maintain surveying equipment including robotic and conventional total stations, GPS/GNSS, data collectors, and levels.
• Perform field measurements and collect accurate data.
• Assist with establishing horizontal and vertical control points.
• Perform construction layout and stakeout activities.
• Assist with boundary, topographic, utility, roadway, and infrastructure surveys.
• Maintain accurate field notes, sketches, measurements, and electronic data.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and communicate field conditions to supervisors.
