Job summary

SMG SECURITY is seeking an Installation Manager to coordinate projects, lead installation crews, and deliver on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and effective communication with customers and internal teams.

You will plan installations, manage budgets, and mentor technicians while coordinating with sales, inventory, and management to ensure quality workmanship and safety on every project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management discipline.
• Five years of work experience and three years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Technical proficiency in relevant technologies/tools/systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in installation operations.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage installation projects from start to finish, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during installation projects, providing updates and addressing concerns.
• Develop full-scale installation plans and define installation tasks and resource requirements.
• Communicate effectively with higher management and other departments to ensure installations are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct site surveys with the sales department to determine a sales estimate including parts and labor costs.
• Lead and mentor installation technicians, providing guidance, support, and training for high-quality workmanship and safety.
• Coordinate with inventory control to ensure availability of materials and equipment.
• Present installation progress to higher managers and other departments as needed.
• Identify and evaluate problems and provide proactive solutions to management.
• Liaise between Installation Technicians and Metro management staff.
• All other duties as assigned.
