Job summary

KLA is seeking a field service engineer to install new tools at customer sites and troubleshoot complex equipment. The role involves extensive travel, documenting progress, and coordinating with senior engineers to ensure successful installations.

Qualifications

• ASET degree or equivalent experience required.
• Willingness to learn installation procedures and diagnostic techniques.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, optics, and electronics.
• Proficient in MS Office and capable of documenting activities.

Responsibilities

• Install new tools at customer sites with consistent cycle times.
• Evaluate, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems during installation.
• Troubleshoot and repair at system level with engineering guidance as needed.
• Prepare field service reports and daily progress/passdowns.
• Arrange international travel documents and be ready for extended travel.
• Travel domestically and internationally to customer sites.
• Work with senior engineers or managers to implement POAs.
