Job summary

KLA in Westwood, MA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to own installation of new tools at customer sites, perform troubleshooting, and ensure production readiness. You will travel 80–90% domestically and internationally, document field activity, and mentor junior engineers on technical issues.

You will bring 3 years of semiconductor or related field experience (or military service), work with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in semiconductor or related field/ military service experience
• Strong troubleshooting and field-service capabilities
• Ability to document field activity and communicate with teams

Responsibilities

• Own installation of new tools at customer sites independently and only occasionally require guidance from managers.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex system level problems during installations using standard procedures and raise needs when required.
• Take ownership of installation admin tasks and contribute to post-activity quality feedback reports.
• Travel 80-90% domestically and internationally by commercial transportation to customer sites.
• Assist junior engineers with guidance and technical support on-site and over the phone.
