Job summary

Techno Consult Engineering, PC in the Baltimore area seeks a Construction Inspector to support underground utility and infrastructure projects. You will inspect sewer line work, monitor contractor performance, document site conditions, and coordinate with engineers and city staff.

The role requires 4+ years of inspection experience, ability to read drawings and specs, strong written communication, OSHA safety knowledge, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and site practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office and digital field reporting tools.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with municipal infrastructure projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sewer line installation and related utility construction activities.
• Monitor contractor performance and verify compliance with plans and standards.
• Document daily construction activities, site conditions, workforce, equipment, and quantities installed.
• Identify and communicate construction deficiencies or non-conforming work.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Review excavation operations, trench safety, utility installations, and site restoration.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and maintain project records.
• Attend project meetings and provide progress updates.
