Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Construction Inspector to work from our Maryland offices (Baltimore, Frederick, Salisbury) on highway and public works projects. You will inspect field conditions, review drawings, perform material tests, and prepare daily reports while coordinating with various stakeholders.

Must obtain and maintain certifications such as OSHA 10 Hour Safety, MDOT SHA, ACI Field Technician, and other project-specific credentials.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly with teams and the public.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work at construction sites as a Construction Inspector for highway/public works projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and perform field measurements; test materials as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, owners, project team, and the public.
• Prepare daily field reports with photos and sketches.
• Work outdoors in varying weather, near heavy equipment and in highway zones.
• Overtime/nights/weekends as project requirements dictate.
