Job summary

EDM International, Inc. is seeking an Underground Transmission Line Inspector/Observer for field-based work in Downtown Denver, CO. You will oversee daily field construction, inspect work for conformance to drawings and specs, and compile detailed daily reports.

Candidates should have 5+ years in transmission or underground utility work, urban-inspection experience preferred, and knowledge of OSHA regulations. Proficiency with Procore, ArcGIS, or Field Maps is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in transmission, distribution, or substation line work.
• Underground utility construction and inspection experience, especially in urban settings, preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations (trenching/shoring) and construction principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field construction for underground transmission line projects.
• Inspect work to ensure drawings, specs, and standards are met.
• Create accurate daily inspection reports.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Observe and document field tests (concrete, soil).
• Maintain contract docs, permits, and as-built drawings.
• Participate in construction meetings with officials and permitting authorities.
• Promote safety-first culture and take corrective action as needed.
