Job summary

PRINCIPLE SERVICES LLC in Texas seeks a Construction Inspector to oversee installation and testing of substations, transmission and distribution lines, wind and solar facilities, and energy storage projects. You will perform field observations, ensure work meets design specs, and report progress to the office.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, strong knowledge of safety standards, and the ability to manage multiple priorities on busy sites, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in constructing substations and transmission lines.
• Able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Fluent in English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observations and reporting to support project completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate contractor performance in the field to uphold quality, scope, and schedule.
• Produce daily reports with progress, field conditions, photos, and relevant topics for office support.
• Ensure work complies with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations and issue stop-work orders when necessary.
• Identify mitigation measures for delays or emergencies and support revised project plans.
• Coordinate with Project Team to develop and update scope and schedule.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to site within specs.
• Advise management and project personnel on technical, safety, and constructability matters.
• Coordinate communication of permits and licenses between field and office.
