Job summary

The T-Line Inspector/Observer role at EDM International, Inc oversees construction of contracted projects and performs daily on-site inspections to ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications. The inspector documents findings through detailed reports and communicates clearly with contractors and project teams.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in line work, substations or related transmission projects, with familiarity in Procore and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of line work in transmission, distribution, or substation.
• Previous transmission construction and inspection experience is preferred.
• Journeyman Lineman experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of construction principles and conformance requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to perform web-based tasks.
• Proficient in Project Management applications (e.g., Procore) and ArcGIS programming.
• Basic understanding of field mobile applications (e.g., ArcGIS, Field Maps) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all project-associated field operations as required.
• Create and maintain detailed inspection reports daily.
• Interact professionally with Contractors by providing clear, accurate, and timely communications.
• Review discrepancies with appropriate parties.
• Observe concrete and soil field tests as needed.
• Maintain all contract documents, necessary permits, and updated drawings.
• Ensure a safety-conscious work environment and initiate corrective action, as necessary.
