Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an on-site Field Inspector to support transportation construction projects across multiple locations. The role involves direct supervision by engineers, inspecting traffic control, materials, and workmanship, and ensuring compliance with plans and quality controls.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• 0 years experience; equivalent related experience considered.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency varies by duties.

Responsibilities

• Inspect traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials under direct supervision.
• Review daily contractor reports and approve or reject work; verify QC procedures and material testing conformance.
• Review material testing procedures and results for conformance to the contract; measure quantities of materials placed.
• May perform sampling and in-place testing of soils, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt pavement.
