Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking an on-site Inspector to support transportation construction projects at multiple locations nationwide. This role offers real-world experience on active sites and the chance to contribute to project success.

Primary responsibilities include inspecting traffic control, environmental controls, layout and materials, reviewing contractor reports and QA procedures, and verifying conformance to the Quality Control Plan. Travel up to 40% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel frequency contingent on duties and projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials under direct supervision.
• Review daily reports and contractor QA procedures; verify conformance with the Quality Control Plan.
• Review material testing procedures and results for contract conformity and measure materials placed.
• May perform sampling and in-place testing of soils, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt pavements.
