Job summary

ARCXIS is seeking a Field Inspector in Houston, TX to verify at all stages of new home construction from foundations to HERS and ENERGY STAR programs. You will inspect residential sites, interface with superintendents and contractors, and report findings daily.

Responsibilities include performing inspections, traveling to job sites, and delivering clear, corrective guidance to trades while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or AA Degree is required.
• Two years construction experience and/or one year field experience with related degree.
• ICC Residential Certifications preferred or obtained within 1 year.
• HERS-Rater Certification preferred or obtained within 3 months.
• ENERGY STAR for Homes preferred.
• Photovoltaic Inspector Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10-Hour Training Course Certification preferred.
• HVAC installation or technical experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, highly detail oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Experience in green building programs such as LEED, Build-it-Green, Energy Star preferable.

Responsibilities

• Performing field inspections and HERS compliance testing for new construction builders.
• Travel daily to multiple job sites.
• Completing daily inspection reports of inspections.
• Communicate inefficiencies to job superintendents and educate trades on corrections.
