Job summary

CTL Engineering is seeking Inspectors for Construction Services to support INDOT and Indianapolis DPW projects in the Indianapolis area. The role focuses on construction administration, inspection, testing, and quality control across roadway, bridge, and municipal infrastructure projects.

Candidates should have relevant field experience, knowledge of testing methods, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction inspection and testing, with knowledge of specifications and standard methods.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills, with ability to maintain project records.
• Ability to work independently, travel within Central Indiana, and communicate with agencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications.
• Read project drawings, specifications, blueprints, and work on a variety of construction projects.
• Perform construction administration and inspection for state, county and local roadway, bridge, and municipal utility projects.
• Inspect construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with plans and proposals.
• Verify plan quantities and calculations within bid plans.
• Prepare and maintain project records and reports in a timely manner.
• Notify the Project Engineer with status updates or non-conforming work.
• Possibly conduct hazardous material surveys and asbestos abatement monitoring during projects.
• Conduct quality control testing at project sites (concrete, soils, asphalt, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer or Manager.
