Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks Highway and Bridge Construction Inspectors to support KYTC projects in the Louisville area. Openings range from entry to senior level; candidates should be able to work day, night, and weekend shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Read, interpret, and follow project plans, specs and standards.
• Basic computer skills to create Word/Excel documents and emails.
• OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
• Familiarity with Word and Excel and basic software use.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections and observations of contractor work on highway/bridge projects.
• Measure, compute, and record contract quantities for payment.
• Read and interpret project plans, specs, and standards.
• Perform material sampling/testing per project standards.
• Document daily project progress and conformance with plans.
• Enter project progress and materials in Word/Excel, SiteManager, LIMS, or similar.
• Identify and communicate project issues to managers and contractor.
• Identify and communicate unsafe conditions on site.
