Job summary

H&S Loss Control Inspections, Inc is seeking an experienced Loss Control Inspector to handle commercial inspections as an independent contractor. You will receive assignments electronically, schedule inspections, and document conditions with photos and measurements.

The role requires reviewing building conditions, communicating findings, and completing detailed reports online. Some travel within a 50‑mile radius may be necessary.

Qualifications

• We are seeking inspector applicants qualified to work in the USA with experience completing commercial line inspections and/or completed training such as VIITA Basic Commercial Line Inspector or equivalent.
• Receives assignments electronically and reviews inspection requirements.
• Schedules inspection appointments with insured by phone, email, or text.
• Inspects properties for hazards related to utilities, building systems, and life safety.
• Interviews insured for operations information and ages of building systems.
• Communicates inspection status through an online application.
• Completes reports on the Loss Control 360 system with Rapid Sketch and returns them electronically.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review assignments and verify inspection requirements.
• Coordinate inspection appointments with insured parties via phone, email, or text.
• Inspect properties for issues related to utilities, systems, maintenance, protections, and life safety.
• Take 20–35 exterior/interior photos and record measurements as needed.
• Interview insureds to gather operations data and equipment ages.
• Update status in the online application and finalize reporting.
• Prepare and submit the final Loss Control 360 report with photos and sketches.
