Lochmueller Group is seeking a Construction Inspector for roadway, bridge, and utility projects across the region. This role is part-time and on an as-needed basis, with workload varying by project schedules and seasonal activity.

The ideal candidate enjoys field work, collaborates with contractors and project teams, and helps ensure work is performed safely, accurately, and per plans and specifications. Experienced inspectors or seasoned professionals seeking flexible project work are

Competenze

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience performing construction inspection and materials testing on transportation or civil projects.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
Valid driver's license and travel to project sites.

Mansioni

Inspect roadway, bridge, utility, drainage, and other construction activities for compliance with plans and specs.
Monitor contractor operations and document progress throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform concrete, soils, aggregate, and asphalt testing as part of materials testing.
Maintain field records, test results, and quantity calculations
Coordinate with contractors, owners, material suppliers, and stakeholders
Interpret construction plans, specs, and applicable standards
Support project quality, safety, and compliance requirements
Provide guidance to junior inspectors when assigned
