Job summary

Lochmueller Group is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to support roadway, bridge, utility, and other infrastructure projects across the region. This is a part-time, as-needed position with workload varying based on project schedules and seasonal activity.

The role is ideal for field work enthusiasts who collaborate with contractors and project teams to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and per plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience inspecting and testing civil infrastructure.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect roadway, bridge, utility, drainage, and other infrastructure construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Monitor contractor operations and document construction progress throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform construction materials testing including concrete, soils, aggregate, and asphalt testing.
• Maintain accurate field records, test results, and quantity calculations.
• Coordinate with contractors, project owners, material suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Interpret construction plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Support project quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Provide guidance to junior inspectors when assigned.
