Samaritan's Purse in North Wilkesboro, NC seeks an ICT Disaster Response Specialist to design and deploy technology for field operations. The role requires a four-year degree with 3–5 years of related experience, strong networking knowledge, and experience with Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti UniFi, and satellite communications.

It is an on-site position with significant overseas travel. You will maintain ICT equipment readiness, provide staff training, and work with disaster response teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or university program certificate in a related field, plus 3–5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of networking principles and infrastructure technologies including DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs, and enterprise networking platforms.
• Comprehensive knowledge of communication systems including satellite technologies and radio systems; Motorola radios preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems for field deployment and maintenance.
• 12 credit hours of Biblical Studies; opportunity to complete on hire if not already completed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
• Design innovative technology strategies while expanding experience with the latest IT communications.
• Research, develop, test equipment; train staff on disaster response technologies.
• Identify and maintain pre-positioned ICT equipment inventory for rapid deployment.
• Serve as primary ICT Disaster Response Specialist on deployment and liaise with disaster response teams.
• Research NGO responses to disasters using technology and recommend ICT solutions.
• Assist other ICT staff with field office visits, on-call support, and project work.
• Carry out all other duties as assigned.
