Job summary

Hussmann Corporation is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain supermarket refrigeration and HVAC systems. You will operate with minimal supervision, manage parts and inventory, and document work accurately using handheld devices.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, EPA 608 certification, and 7 years field experience or 5 with a technical degree. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work nights/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Required Level: High School Diploma/GED
• Preferred level: HVAC-R Technical School Degree
• External candidates: 7 years in the field or 5 years with certification from a technical school
• Internal candidates: 3 years as a Certified Technician with on-the-job training

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, diagnosis and repair of refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems.
• Order, receive, bill out and maintain parts with minimal waste.
• Manage assigned vehicle and keep it clean and within policy.
• Complete documents and invoicing accurately and on time using handheld device.
• Identify and troubleshoot thermostatic expansion valves and related controls.
• Mentor other technicians and lead HVAC/R PM programs
• Additional duties as assigned
