Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled engineer to design, configure, and service complex building control systems for customer facilities in a challenging, safety‑conscious environment. You will develop software, diagrams, and schedules to ensure optimal operation.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rigorous commissioning, and cross‑functional teamwork with Sales and Service. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8+ years in HVAC/building controls are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8+ years of HVAC or related field.
• Knowledge of control theory and building automation.
• Experience with integration of low voltage building subsystems using LON, BACnet, etc.

Responsibilities

• Designs, configures and services technically complex building control systems for the customer’s facility.
• Creates flow diagrams, sequences of operations, bill of materials, network layouts, schedules and electrical schematics.
• Develops and tests software programs to operate the system per facility requirements.
• Coordinates drawings and equipment schedules for submittals, services and installation.
• Assists in loading and commissioning of controllers and validates full system functionality.
