Job summary

Qualifications

• HSE/Safety related Bachelor's degree with 0–3 years in HSE/safety, or 1–3 years in Heavy Civil construction without a degree.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety policies and develop training materials.
• Assist Operations with pre-planning safety via risk assessments and job hazard analyses.
• Prepare OSHA, MSHA and DOT documentation for worksites (hazcom, rigging, cranes, excavation, scaffolds).
• Develop site hazard training materials based on site visit assessments.
• Perform incident investigations.
• Create toolbox talks, safety flashes, and monthly training modules.
• Oversee subcontractor safety start programs and compliance.
• Oversee OSHA and MSHA inspections and related training.
• Conduct new hire orientation.
• Perform post-accident drug screens.
• Participate in morning huddles and project planning meetings.
• Attend dynamic stretching at worksites.
• Provide safety expertise to Project Team and jobsite support.
• Purchase safety equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
