Job summary

Socket.dev in Houston, Texas seeks an HSE Technician to support implementation of Project HSE Management Systems at our site. You will educate and monitor safety compliance for field activities to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Travel to project sites as required; per diem provided. You will conduct inspections, assist in accident investigations, issue permits, and support safety orientations while upholding our Code of Conduct and Core Values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with 3+ years safety experience in construction/industrial settings.
• CHST designation or OSHA 500/502 with construction safety experience.
• Ability to enforce federal, state, local and company safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Company with high moral standards and Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
• Support safety programs and Core Values at the Project site.
• Communicate commitment to HSE plans with site management and subcontractors.
• Assist in controlling hazardous conditions and unsafe behavior through peer conversations.
• Assist in supervision of safety, first aid and rescue squad activities.
• Conduct staff and craft safety orientation trainings.
• Perform regular inspections of assigned construction site work areas.
• Assist in accident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Document accidents, safety violations and unsafe conditions.
• Issue work permits as trained.
• Participate in housekeeping activities.
• Perform additional assignments as directed.
